Settled In

Standard

Well we have gotten settled in at Child Hope’s guest house.  Ernie has been hard at work cleaning up the Transition house and getting cement poured so they have a level floor to put tables and work areas on as well as redoing the wiring to bring it up to what we would call codes.

The transition house also had a sewing program after school for some of the girls from the children’s home as well as girls in the community.  Ginny leads this program.

In the past the trans house has also had a bakery, t-shirt printing , jewelry making, and there could be a computer lab.  Praying about what God wants to have in this house and what he doesn’t.  So many possibilities!

We have been meeting so many new and wonderful people this last week.  So many different talents that God brings together in so many diverse ministries.  It is really exciting to think of all the possibilities that are ahead.  We have seen pottery being made, pottery beads, glass beads, paper beads, tin art, sewing and so much more.

“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.”
Romans 8:28

Please continue to pray for the political climate here.  The presidential elections have been canceled once again.  It is hard to say how this will all play out.  But we must continue to pray for Haiti and the government.

It sounds like many of our friends and family are having some pretty cold and messy weather.  Praying you stay safe and warm!

Good to hear from you guys. Im sure you had a great time with your family for the holidays. And….know you are excited about your new mission. Any status on “sewing machines”? I noticed one in one of your pictures. We stand ready to buy a couple depending on the cost. Do we need to go through DOM for this. Give us an update. Thanks, Linda
