New Adventures in Haiti

We are back in Haiti! Our trip back on Monday was a good one.  Flights were on time and we only had to go through Miami.

As many of you know we are no longer volunteering under We Care Haiti. God has opened a door to volunteer with Child Hope International.  Ernie will be helping them with their transitional program in the area of setting up their woodworking shop and training carpentry skills to the young Haitian men and I will be helping wherever needed.  God is so good to open doors.  Child Hope is located in Port-au-Prince.  They have a boy’s home, a girl’s home, a transition training program as well as a feeding program and a guest house for teams.  To learn more about Child Hope visit their website at:

We had a wonderful time of worship with old friends and new ones on Tuesday night at their weekly worship and fellowship time at Noel and Lori’s home. It just so happened that it was Taco Tuesday (which they do once a month) so it was like a taste of Texas, such fun and so blessed, the worship was such a special time.

We still pray for all of our friends out in the Belo community and hope to be able to go out and visit often. Part of our heart is still in this community where we have so many wonderful friends.

We do have to raise all of our financial support to live in Haiti.

We are thankful for all the support we receive from family, friends and churches! We have a new avenue for our support which includes a convenient way to give to our ministry online.

The link for online giving is:

For checks make them payable to BGCT and send it to the following address with a note that it is for Ernie & Sharon Rice’s ministry in Haiti:

7557 Rambler Road, Suite 1100
Dallas, TX 75231-2310

Thank you so much for supporting us.  We could not serve without this support.  God is so good to supply our needs.

I can’t wait to get started here and to be able to share with you how God is working here. Lots of new names to learn and stories to hear.  We are on a continuing adventure with God!

“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:18
