It has been a really busy weekend! Thursday Mirielle and I went shopping with Charly to buy all the food for the receptions. That took most of the day. Friday Mirielle had to go out to the local market to get some of the fresh things and then Friday afternoon into the late night the ladies all worked on getting all the food ready. All these pics are a little blurry I believe because I had to reduce them to send and they were taken in darker light on phone. But hopefully you can get the idea.
They began cooking the Saturday morning about 6:00 am and continued until time for the wedding. The first plan was to eat before the wedding, but that fell through and instead was done after the wedding.
The wedding was beautiful.
Something I would like to mention here is all of the counseling and prenuptial preparation there was before the wedding. They had counseling with the pastors. One evening was set aside about a month before the wedding for them and many of their friends to pray for their marriage. Then closer to the wedding day there was a day of fasting and prayer for them as a couple. and their new life together.
There were numerous music special during the ceremony and they were all very good!
It is interesting they don’t cut the wedding cake and hand out to guest. They give different family members a layer of cake to take home and keep one for themselves.
I was asked to make a bunch of chocolate and white cupcakes to hand out to the wedding guest. So Friday I baked 10 dozen cupcakes.
There were actually 4 tables with food and in 10 minutes time it had all vanished, LOL. But everyone was fed.
We wish the new couple blessing on their lives together as they honor God in all that they do.
