Sunday afternoon drive

Well we hadn’t planned to stay in Bon Repos all weekend but due to the fact the stores and banks were closed yesterday for All Saints Day we had to wait until Monday to go to the stores.  I now have put all Haitian holidays on my calendar.  Since we had the afternoon with no plans we decided to take a little road trip.  I had not been to Mirabalais so we headed up there!  Here a few pictures along the way.  Also a friend of ours, Jimmy, who has interpreted for us and lives in Mirabalais joined us and took us around his countryside.

Ernie said this little Haitian restaurant reminded him of Emmy’s back in Stockdale, just not Mexican food (shucks, I could use some of Emmy’s tacos or enchiladas)

We knew on the way back when we saw these clouds building that we were probably going to have some showers tonight and sure enough we did!
