What a great week we had with our friends from Second Baptist Lubbock, some have been here before and some were new on the scene. We had a busy week and it seemed to fly by. Painting was one of the items that keep many busy. Here are a few pictures to prove it:
We left on Wednesday before I had the opportunity to get any pictures on my camera of the porch railings that were built and installed on the small houses but the rails look so nice and really dress up the houses. I will have get pics and post at a later date.
This team came with so many fun activities for both kids and ladies alike. The kids made sun visors, pictures were taken of the kids, then they printed them and had the kids decorate frames to put them in (probably first picture some of them have had of themselves), many bible stories were told and of course songs were sung.
The ladies (and some guys) learned to crochet and boy did they like that! I think everyone on the mountain is wearing a new spiffy hat as well as some other neat things! On the last day the ladies decorated bags they can use to put their yarn and projects in or take shopping.
Of course the gospel was also shared during these fun times with our mountain friends.
On Sunday after church we headed to Aldy Restaurant for some good Haitian food and then on to the old Fort ruins. I am sorry to report that Robin slipped and fell and tore her shin up pretty bad and we had to cut our trip a little short. But praise the Lord – Lifeline in Grand Goave had a group of surgeons in this week and they took great care of her, cleaning up wound and putting in 16 stitches. Robin went to her doctor in Lubbock today and said everything looks great. God is good and he does provide!
Here is a group shot I took on Sunday morning. They are precious group of new friends!
Thank so much for coming, working and being a great encouragement to us! We hope to see you all again next year!
