Go Now Team

Standard

As I said in the previous blog it has been a busy 2 weeks with teams.  First Metropolitan Houston left Thursday morning and the Go Now Team arrived that afternoon.  Grocery shopping in between!

What a great group of college kids these were!  Love them all!  Cindy McBrayer was their fearless leader.  We had a wonderful time and man did they work!  Let’s see, they distributed food for 2 days (I don’t have the exact figures – it was a lot!), they worked at an orphanage, had some relaxing time at the beach, painted 2 houses, played with lots of kids, distributed clothes, climbed the mountain, learned that Haitians are much better at football (soccer) than they are:-) and the list goes on.  I am quite sure they were ready for a nap when they got on the plane.

We also had to celebrate Charly’s 26th birthday with a birthday cake.  His birthday is actually today, but he had plans and we thought it would be fun to celebrate when we had the group here.  This was his first ever birthday cake.  No son of mine goes without a birthday cake if I can help it!

Surprising Charly with a birthday cake.

Here are just a few pics of the week.  On Facebook many more have been posted by all.

Go Now Team you were an awesome group!  Thanks for all you did!

Even though it has been a really busy two weeks it has been great!  We have been blessed with so many new friends and can’t wait to see how God uses them in the future.

Well I need to shut down as we have to pack up and head back to the mountain now.

Have a great weekend!

Great hearing from you. Sounds like ya’ll are super busy. You mentioned in a post about a Haitian Creole bible. Can you send us a little more info about that? A lady in our church has been asking about that. Are they readily available? What would we do if we wanted to help out with that?
Blessings to you friends. Linda and Earl
